Experience of ProCork with Cantine Bosco
Founded in 1897, the Bosco family is one of the companies that have built the history of the Abruzzo wine quality. Starting of course, with the big red Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. But this is not the only one. The Montepulciano continues to be central in our production, but also increasingly important are white Trebbiano d'Abruzzo and, above all, the Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo, Montepulciano rosé from grapes.
The strong reputation of quality that, generation after generation, the Bosco family have been able to build and consolidate in over a century and based on attention to detail at every stage of production. The 50 hectares of vineyards are cultivated property with the utmost respect for the grapes and the environment, and the same particular care mark all subsequent passages of processing up to the crucial final phase, the closure of 500,000 bottles that come each year from the cellar.
Precisely for the attention to detail that characterizes the winery’s style, Nestor Bosco chose to bottle with the superior ProCork cork, distributed by Sugherificio Veneto. It was a made after performing a rigorous trial. He reveals the ability of these closures to keep all the benefits of cork without the risks that ordinary corks may entail. The special film which protects the wine from direct contact with the cork in fact ensures the protection from contamination by TCA. But this is not all. Wines like Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Cerasuolo and are very delicate.
Just a hint of oxidation can alter the colour and dampen the fragrance of the perfumes that make your wines unique. Since we introduced the ProCork corks, we’re finding optimal protection even from these risks.
